Italian exports to Mercosur grow by 21.1%

South America confirms itself as an increasingly interesting market for Made in Italy products .

In May 2026, Italian exports to the four Mercosur countries — Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay — reached 745 million euros , marking a growth of 21.1% compared to May 2025.

The most significant data comes from Brazil , which alone recorded 582 million euros of Italian exports, an increase of 22.3%.

But Uruguay and Paraguay are surprising in terms of growth: +72.2% and +95.6% respectively . Argentina , on the other hand, recorded a more modest growth of 0.6% .

Numbers that tell the story of an evolving market and that open up new perspectives for Italian companies, including in the Food & Beverage and Wine sectors .

For Italian wine, Mercosur could represent a great opportunity: not only to increase exports, but above all to build new relationships with local importers, buyers, and distributors.

And it is precisely knowledge of the market that makes the difference.

We'll talk about it at ProWine São Paulo
